The future of new media can be in holograms. Hologram calls are an improvement from voice and video calls. It can project the image of the person you are on call with in front of you. With the use of virtual reality headsets, people can also project a holographic form to the area where the other person is and you can have a 360 degree of your surroundings. The holograms can also be useful online marketing. It can project a 3D image of whatever they wanted so the customers can have a better idea of what they are purchasing.

    This seems to be a popular topic! Lol it would definitely change our communication for sure! Its one thing video chatting with someone, but to feel like they are in the room is another! It is very futuristic and this has been in so many movies. Hopefully, this is in the making. :)

    It would be so cool to use holograms to communicate with others and send messages. Especially by incorporating it with the virtual reality glasses. I really hope that we can have access to this kind of technology soon, it would be a great asset to new media

    I think that'd be a great idea. It removes the physical need of seeing people but still allow us to see each other in a virtual space.

I have chosen to focus on the new media technology Ebay. Deciding whether this new media technology is actually a community or bazaar would be difficult. However in this paper I would be focusing on how Ebay functions as a community that strives by providing services to one another. Unlike a bazaar, customers of a product can review on the quality and services provided to them. The presence of servicing differentiates a community from a bazaar that is merely a marketplace. This particular media technology, which also has a few basic marketplace characteristics, is the beginning of a new style of media that focuses on the individual.
