Social Networking Sites
There are many social networking sites available to the people. They all offer the ease of connecting to a community and the sharing of information. However, each site stands out by offering unique features. Other than Facebook and Twitter I also use YouTube and Instagram. I have been using Facebook for a very long time and it is always the first that I turn to when I wish to share something. When there is an occasion or event, Facebook always notifies you of this and it makes connecting to friends and families easier. Also, the function to share or tag individuals into comments makes it a easy to use social networking site.
Unlike Facebook I have only started to use Twitter for a class. Although the character limit on Twitter seems really short, I have found it to be one of the best features of Twitter. By limiting the character limit, people can find themselves using Twitter frequently to post simple things.
I like the social networking sites YouTube and Instagram because it makes it easier to share moments in your life through videos and pictures. Although Twitter and Facebook also have similar functions, the fact that YouTube and Instagram specializes in that specific feature makes them much more valuable. Occasionally you can see a photo or video posted by someone on Facebook or Twitter, but on Instagram you can easily view all of the photos pertaining to that individual. The structure makes it simple and easy to follow. As for YouTube, it is much easier to watch videos of related topics and this makes YouTube a must when you want to watch a bunch of related videos.

I agree that one of the positive aspects of Facebook is that it notifies you whenever it is someone's birthday or other event, something that Instagram does not provide. so you can connect with friends and family.
